The event organised by BPCA (British Pest Control Association) has taken place in Scotland earlier this week.

About 50 delegates (incl. myself) representing Scotland’s pest control industry gathered on Wednesday in Energy Assets Arena at Livingston FC, West Lothian and listened to the speakers from BPCA, UK leading pest control suppliers and organisations involved in wildlife management & preservation.

Some of the industry key updates have been discussed were upcoming new regulation for purchasing and use of aluminium phosphate; implications of permanent rodent baiting with 2nd generation anticoagulant baits and its impact on wildlife.

Accordingly, pest controllers, farmers and general public will no longer be able to purchase aluminium phosphate for rodent and mole control unless they have been trained in use of the gas compound and licenced.
